PLEASE NOTE: This particular journal is as much an art piece as it is a functional book. All materials were brand new, and this has been built to last through regular use, but the particular materials used as well as the extensive weathering will make it a bit trickier to use. If you're looking for a daily use journal this might not be the one. See images or feel free to reach out with questions! 
 
This book was inspired by pirates and wooden ships of old! It's made from oak wood with real nails (these were filed to prevent damage to the inside and are glued into place), all of which have been painted, weathered and sealed to resemble reclaimed ship deck materials. The spine is made from uncoated art canvas, which was weathered and sealed, then sewn into the wood to represent old sails. All of my journals are filled with medium-weight sketchbook-style paper, this one actually has 56 pages instead of the usual 50, and the paper has also been stained to give a "water-logged" feel.
